Do You Want A Successful Life?

Author : Warren Adams
Are you seeking to be successful in your life? What do you call success? Pleasing God with your life should be your success goal. That means to put Him first in all your endeavors. The psalmist, David, wrote, "Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed". Psalms 37:3. Your trust should be in the Lord and not on things of this world. Riches of this world will not satisfy. They are fleeting. Trust in God and you will be fed. He will provide for your needs.David continues, "Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart". Psalms 37:4. Your happiness is not in the things of this world but, in the Lord. Desire to please God with all you do. Make it your priority to be obedient to the Word of God. This will bring joy to you and God. Your heavenly Father wants to give you the desires of your heart. The only thing He asks for is faithfulness to Him and His Word.Faithfulness will bring commitment. "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass". Psalms 37:5. Your commitment should be to God first. His Word should not be compromised for any purpose. Too many Christians put the emphasis of life on success, position, power or some other goal. The true way to accomplish what you want to do is to commit your efforts to doing it God's way and for His glory. There is nothing wrong with wanting to accomplish something with your life. In fact you should know what it is God wants you to do then pursue it with passion. Trusting in, delighting in, and committing to the Lord all your efforts, having the faith to wait, patiently, for Him to bring your desire to fruition."Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man soweth, that shall he reap, for he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not". Galatians 6: 7-9.Success means different things to different people. The only success that will have any lasting value is one gained through doing it God's way and for His glory. Strive for success but do it for the right reason and give God the glory when He blesses you with the desire of you heart.Warren L. Adams is a preacher, teacher and mentor. He is concerned about the lost and the Christian that is not living their life to the fullest for the glory of God. He is the author of "It's Ok To Be Rich but Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God". Leading Christians to understand it is ok to have material things for the right reason, bringing glory to God.http://www.ItsOkToBeRich.com
